Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of RT TradeJournal ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. Please read the disclaimer in section 7 carefully.
1. About the Service
RT TradeJournal lets you import or manually record your trade executions and provides journaling and performance analytics derived from them. The Service is operated by HarCop VOF ("we", "us"), Zuiderlicht 71, 1705 TS Heerhugowaard, Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce / KvK 95694374, VAT NL867244446B01).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service.
3. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure; enable two-factor authentication for stronger protection.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or to store unlawful content;
- attempt to access other users' data or break the Service's security or user isolation;
- disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or copy the Service except where the law allows; or
- resell or provide the Service to third parties without our agreement.
5. Subscriptions, billing & taxes
- The Service offers a free tier and a paid premium tier. Current features and prices are shown in the app before you subscribe.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; iDEAL and card payments are supported for customers in the Netherlands. By subscribing you also accept Stripe's terms.
- Premium subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Prices include applicable VAT; the tax shown at checkout is charged.
- We may change prices or plan features. We will give reasonable advance notice, and changes take effect at your next renewal — you can cancel before then.
- If a payment fails, we may retry and may suspend premium access until it succeeds; your data is retained (see the Privacy Policy).
6. Cancellation, refunds & right of withdrawal
- You can cancel a premium subscription at any time from your account settings; it stays active until the end of the paid period, after which you return to the free tier. Your data is not deleted by cancelling.
- EU right of withdrawal. As a consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Because the Service is digital content supplied immediately, by starting a paid subscription you ask us to begin at once and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day withdrawal right once the service period has begun, except as required by law.
- Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are non-refundable.
7. Not financial advice
The Service helps you record and analyse your own trading. It does not provide investment, financial, tax or legal advice, signals, or recommendations, and it is not a broker or a portfolio manager. Analytics are derived from the data you provide and may contain errors or omissions, including in imported files. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and for verifying your own figures. Trading carries risk, including the loss of your capital.
8. Your content and data
Your trades, notes and uploads remain yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, process and display that content to operate the Service for you. You are responsible for having the right to upload the data (including broker exports) you provide. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service itself — its software, design and branding — belongs to us and our licensors. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you beyond the right to use the Service.
10. Third-party services
The Service works alongside third parties such as your broker/exchange (whose CSV exports you import), Google sign-in and Stripe. We are not responsible for those services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.
11. Availability and changes
We aim for a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may add, change or remove features. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses or for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer under Dutch and EU law.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms or where we must for legal or security reasons; where reasonable we will give notice and an opportunity to export your data.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in advance. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes may be brought before the competent Dutch courts. As a consumer, you keep the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
